The ‘Wadden Seaport’ Initiative
Wadden Seaports of Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands understand themselves as partners in safeguarding the outstanding international values of the Wadden Sea. They want to invite interested partners to share ‘Best Practices’ and the raising of awareness for the sustainable use of the Wadden Sea on this site.

Trilateral Port Conference: cooperation for the benefit of the Wadden Sea region
The 14th Trilateral Governmental Conference on protection of the Wadden Sea took place in Wilhelmshaven from 28 November to 1 December 2022. On the 28th the Niedersachsen Ports and Bremen Ports organized a trilateral port conference. Dutch, Danish and German ports exchanged experiences about projects and initiatives. The port conference was attended by various stakeholders of the Wadden Sea. In addition the ports and environmental NGO’s developed a Joint document. Many other stakeholders signed it also on the 29th and the document was discussed and welcomed at the ministers conference itself on the 30th of November.
